Dr. Zidan is an amazing neurologist. He is a really good listener and takes your concerns seriously. He explains things very clearly, and I appreciate that he always ends the appointment with a plan for what to do between appointments and what we will check in about next time. Dr. Zidan is a great doctor. I feel so fortunate to be one of his patients. He is obviously very smart, skilled and knowledgeable, but he is also extremely kind and compassionate. He listens to my many questions and concerns, and always answers clearly and honestly. I have made such great progress with Dr. Zidan that I only need to see him once a year now, but I enjoy my visits with him so much that I wish I could see him more frequently. I’ve never had a doctor who really seemed to care about my case In particular Instead of just looking at a diagnosis and slapping on a the standard bandaid. I’ve tried a lot of things that just don’t work, and I live with a lot of pain. I had a horrific prior experience with being left to fend for myself with no treatment during a pregnancy. Dr. Zidan worked with me and continued multiple avenues of treatment to get me through my pregnancy and it was much more manageable and far less traumatic (and my baby is perfect and healthy). This visit was no different. We discussed my options for treatment as a nursing mother, and he checked safety Information in real time so we could have a meaningful discussion on the best course of treatment. I’m grateful for Dr. Zidan.

Dr. Zidan took his time comparing the new MRI to the last one, he explained what the areas of

concerns were and where I will need to have surgery to correct the issues.

This was the second time I've seen the doctor for this problem since I first began treatment

with Upstate in February 2021. The appointment felt rushed and did not take into account the

growing pain I've been having since the beginning of this calendar year. He only thought my

pain had increased in the past 2 weeks, but it's been steadily rising since January. I also did not

leave with a clear understanding of whether the mri imaging showed arthritis or not. The

physical exam increased my head/neck pain. Overall, I left the appointment confused and

feeling physically worse.
